It is an explanation of what you create, why you create, and the processes involved in how you create.

How to write an Artist Statement?

Answer these questions in 1 to 3 paragraphs and you’ll have written your artist statement

• Who are you? Introduce yourself.
• What are you creating?
• Why are you creating it? Why is it important to you and or the world?
• How are you going to create it? What is your process? Is there something unique about your process in comparison to other artists?
