Chi Profile Picture

Chi W. (She/Her)

Library Assistant

If you want to find Chi, look up! More often than not, she’s reading a book on a rooftop or in a tree somewhere. Chi enjoys teaching drumming, learning new skills, listening to podcasts, and writing her own Audio Drama. She’s excited to be a part of the Code-it challenge, and psyched to polish her coding skills while helping others improve their own.

    Elacsha M.

    Teen Engagement Coordinator

I have always had a passion for science since I was a kid (kind of like Ada Twist the Scientist and Iggy Peck the Architect). I love conducting experiments and inventing things. I enjoy working with my hands, problem solving and not knowing what the outcome will be! Science will always be cool.

      Heather L.

Innovation & Digital Learning Library Assistant

You can often find me at the library Tech Desk helping patrons learn new digital skills and troubleshooting tech difficulties. As a writer and performance artist myself I often use play as a way to tap into my creativity and I enjoy helping others experience this too. My favorite thing about art-making of any kind is the freedom we can find in it. Whether we sit in front of a blank page, stage, canvas, or video editing timeline, it’s there that we are free to figure things out, find our voices, and express ourselves.

        Kennedy J.

        STEM Library Assistant

You can find Kennedy on the first floor of EPL at the Children’s desk working on fun, creative maker programs. They love watching movies, writing about movies and even making movies of their own! Art and science (yes, even filmmaking) are all about creative problem solving and they are great ways to meet new people and express yourself all at the same time.

          Khari W.

Teen Services Library Assistant / Family Focus Assistant Instructor

Hi I’m Khari, an animator extraordinaire – well at least that’s the goal. Talk to me about anything cartoons or animation and I’m all ears! You know, I’m something of a scientist as well.  I’ve been collecting and dismantling obsolete tech since I was a kid. There is something so mesmerizing about seeing what’s on the inside of your favorite old game console.

            Ozivell E.

            Music Library Assistant

My background is in music, theatre, and multimedia design. You can find me in the Loft teaching percussion or music production. I love helping youth discover their personal narratives through the art of creating. My life motto is, “Nothing is impossible as long as I’m possible. I also believe that liberation begins with artistic expression.
